Teaching a Class with the City of Walnut Creek
| How do I apply to teach a recreation class? |
Please fill out the course proposal form in
PDF or
Microsoft Word format. You must fill out one form for each class you would like to offer by the proposal deadline. |
| How are instructors paid? |
Instructors who teach classes for the City of Walnut Creek are independent contractors. The City starts at 50%-50% split on registration fees. Instructors receive 50% of the registration fee after the class is complete. |
| When are classes offered? |
The City offers classes in four distinct sessions. Instructors must fill out a proposal for each session they would like to teach |
| Session dates: |
Fall: Early September - Mid-December
Winter: January - Mid-March
Spring: Mid-March - End of May
Summer: June - August |
| When are proposals due? |
Fall: Beginning of May
Winter: End of August
Spring: Mid-November
Summer: Mid-February |
